Interserve has appointed a new director of transformation, IT and people as part of its overall turnaround strategy.
The company has hired Sally Jones from United Utilities, the UK’s largest listed water company, where she had been performing a similar role.
She will join Interserve on 15 January.
Jones has held a number of roles at Nestle, Northern Foods and had a successful consultancy career supporting a range of companies managing major change programmes. She is also a non-executive director at motor retailer Lookers.
Interserve chief executive Debbie White, said: “Sally is an experienced senior leader who has a strong track-record of getting the best out of people and technology. I am delighted to welcome Sally, who will bring her strong transformation, commercial and relationship building skills to support the transformation already underway at Interserve.”
It has been a difficult year for Interserve. In October the company warned it was in danger of breaching its bank covenants.
This followed on from September when the company issued a profit warning due to problem energy-from-waste contracts.
