A 238-home development, which will be built using modular construction methods, has been given approval by Slough Borough Council.
Housebuilder Click Properties said the scheme will be built using approximately 600 modular units, manufactured offsite.
Construction will start in October 2018 with a projected completion in mid-2019.
Click said the installation of the modules on site will take 10 weeks.
The development will feature studio, one, two and three-bed apartments, including penthouses. Each will be offered with 50 variations of specification, plus the option to be a fully smart home.
Click said the development at Herschel St, known as “Aspire”, will be the largest modular private residential development in Slough and, of the 238 homes, 50 will be classed as affordable.
Aaron Emmett, CEO at Click Properties, said: “Our apartments will provide high spec housing for a growing population, helping to meet the increased demand for homes in Slough.”
