HS2 is sharing a look inside its Bromford intermediate shaft in Birmingham.
The 65m-deep ventilation shaft connects to the Bromford Tunnel, which is a 5.8km twin-bore tunnel connecting Water Orton in North Warwickshire to Washwood Heath in Birmingham.
The video shows the engineering behind the structure, including the five internal levels that will house mechanical and electrical rooms.
Slip form construction is being used to build 18 internal walls, with sprayed concrete lining methods implemented to create the cavern works at the pit bottom.
