The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is currently seeking members for its Heritage Advisory Panel.

The professional body is looking for candidates who work in the UK heritage sector and have a deep understanding of building conservation, sustainable development, and the use of digital technologies in heritage projects.

Estimator/Quantity Surveyor – Chartered Building Maintenance Company

Salary: Up to £70,000

An experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join an established building maintenance company. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and managing the commercial aspects of building maintenance and construction projects ranging from £1,000 to £2,000,000 in value.

Members of the panel, will:

Support CIOB in understanding the key policy issues for the heritage sector in the UK.
Collaborate with CIOB to map existing heritage skills against the future needs for a sustainable heritage sector.
Share market insights, provide horizon scanning on issues for the industry, scan political landscapes.
Contribute to CIOB’s response to government consultations.

Panel members serve a two-year term and attend four meetings annually, both virtually and in-person.
