The Grenfell Tower Inquiry has named several contractors and subcontractors involved in maintaining the building before the fatal fire in 2017 on its list of “core participants”.
The core participants are survivors of the fire, residents at the time of the fire, the families of those who died, and those who “may have played a direct or significant role” in the events the inquiry is looking into.
More than 530 individuals and organisations have been named as core participants in the probe into the disaster, the largest number ever in an inquiry of this nature in the UK.
The investigation is being chaired by retired appeal court judge Sir Martin Moore-Bick.
In addition to main contractor Rydon, several firms with responsibility for cladding, insulation, facades and glazing have been named.

Also included on the list are public bodies such as Kensington & Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation, the company that managed Grenfell Tower, as well as the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, the secretary of state for housing, communities and local government Sajid Javid, and home secretary Amber Rudd.
