UK construction firms will be able to bid for a share of a £12.5m government fund to boost productivity, performance and quality as of next week.

Innovate UK, as part of UK research and innovation, has pledged to invest up to £12.5m in innovative projects to transform the UK construction.
The competition opens on 23 July and closes on 19 September.
The competition is looking to invest in projects to improve three core stages of the construction lifecycle:
- designing and managing buildings through digitally-enabled performance management;
- constructing quality buildings using a manufacturing approach;
- and powering buildings with active energy components and improving build quality.
Innovate UK us looking for results that lead to a streamlined process that saves costs, reduces delays and improves collaborations, productivity and outputs.
Proposals must be led by a UK-based, for-profit business and must start by December 2018 and end by December 2020.
