American sports and entertainment firm, the Madison Square Garden Company, has revealed plans to install an “events globe” in London’s 2012 Olympic Park.
The “MSG Sphere”, designed by architect Populous, will have a bowl-shaped interior and will be “equipped with game-changing technologies that push the limits of connectivity, acoustics, video and content distribution”.
The company is planning another for Las Vegas that will have a 23,000-person capacity: 18,000 seats and room for 5,000 fans standing.
