The CIOB Midlands is hosting a webinar with the Get it Right Initiative (GIRI) and Viewpoint focusing on reducing errors and improving quality.
The hour-long lunchtime session on 2 December will start with an overview from Clifford Smith, executive director of GIRI.
GIRI research suggests the industry spends between 15% and 25% of total project costs dealing with the consequences of avoidable error. Smith believes the initiative is a real opportunity for the industry to improve productivity and reputation.
The webinar will look at how changing cultures across a business right from the start can reduce avoidable error and project costs.
Also speaking is Viewpoint construction software business development manager Stuart Ryder, who has a keen focus on enhancing efficiency around project data and communication management. He will discuss how technology can be harnessed to reduce error.
The session will include regional case studies and an opportunity to quiz the panel.
