
The construction procurement scheme for the Yorkshire and Humber region, YORhub, has appointed eight construction firms for its new YORcivil Major Works 2 framework.
Under the framework, the contractors can be considered for contracts over £10m to carry out civil engineering projects for councils and other organisations across the Yorkshire and Humber region
Projects in the lot include highways, bridges and structural work, drainage, urban realm, flood alleviation and coastal works.
The winning contractors are Aureos Infrastructure Services, BAM Nuttall, Esh Construction, Galliford Try Infrastructure, Jackson Civil Engineering, Octavius Infrastructure, John Graham Construction and John Sisk & Son.
The framework is managed by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Sheffield City Council.
Previous YORcivil schemes include the £86.9m A164 and Jock’s Lodge Improvement Scheme just outside Beverley in the East Riding, and the £45m Howden relief road.
