JRS Training continued its commitment to developing the next generation of construction professionals through its ongoing partnership with The King’s Trust.
As part of the latest programme, a group of young people had the opportunity to gain practical bricklaying experience on a live construction site at Gunwharf Quay in Portsmouth. Delivered in partnership with MGroup, CBRE and Landsec, the initiative provided delegates with valuable hands-on experience in a real working environment.
Supporting the practical training was experienced trainer Roy Atwell, who guided participants through the fundamentals of bricklaying, helping them develop essential skills and confidence on site.
The practical element followed the successful completion of a two-day Health & Safety Awareness course delivered by JRS Training managing director, James Owen MCIOB. All participants successfully passed the course, equipping them with the knowledge and qualifications needed to take the next steps towards a career in construction.
