Focus Consultants founding partner Kevin Osbon MCIOB has received an MBE from the Princess Royal in recognition of his contribution to economic growth and regeneration in the East Midlands.
Osbon was invested as a Member of the Order of the British Empire on 30 September 2026, receiving the honour for “services to the Economy and to Regeneration in the East Midlands”.
Over a career spanning four decades, he has helped shape, fund and deliver more than £4bn of regeneration initiatives for public, private and third-sector organisations. His work has covered economic development, culture, heritage and community projects, including Leicester’s £60m CURVE theatre, the £20m Aerospace Bristol museum and the £26m redevelopment of Nottingham Castle.
The East Midlands has remained central to his work, collaborating with local authorities, businesses, cultural organisations and community partners to secure investment and deliver projects intended to generate lasting economic and social benefits.
A ‘humbling experience’
Reflecting on the honour, Osbon said: “Receiving this honour from the Princess Royal was an extraordinarily humbling experience. While this MBE carries my name, it really belongs to the brilliant team at Focus Consultants, as well as the community partners and charities that I’ve had the privilege to work with and represent over the years, and my family and friends whose support and encouragement have been invaluable.”
He added: “I remain as dedicated as ever to driving UK regeneration, supporting the property and construction sector, helping to tackle the major challenges facing our industry and continuing my charitable endeavours.”
