Talented people from across Ireland and Northern Ireland’s construction industry were celebrated at a glittering awards ceremony in September.
Dublin’s Croke Park played host to the CIOB’s dedicated awards ceremony for Ireland and Northern Ireland, the largest CIOB awards ceremony for the two countries in recent years.
Scores of prestigious industry awards were handed out to individuals and teams making a significant impact in the sector, including Team of the Year, Open Recognition and the coveted Rising Star award.
The event was kick-started with a speech from James Lawless, Ireland’s Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, who said: “The CIOB Ireland Awards are a reminder that construction is as much about people as it is about materials. It’s about collaboration, vision, and leadership, just as much as bricks and mortar.
“CIOB continues to do outstanding work, not only in supporting professionals across the built environment, but also in shaping the future of construction in Ireland.
“As minister, I look forward to continuing my Department’s strong partnership with CIOB on key policy initiatives, including the Careers in Construction Action Plan.”
Sarah Hallinan, CIOB’s regional manager for Ireland and Northern Ireland, added: “This has been an incredibly successful evening for CIOB Ireland. It is inspiring to see such outstanding talent, innovation and leadership on display across our industry. The scale of this event – the largest CIOB awards ceremony in Ireland in recent years – reflects the strength and ambition of our construction community.

Among the evening’s winners and recognised individuals were:
- Joanne White, Open Recognition Award Winner – From Co. Monaghan, Ireland. Joanne is the founder of Women in Construction Ireland (WICI), an independent consultancy organisation promoting gender equality within the construction industry. Her initiative helps contractors and companies recruit, retain and support female employees, addressing skills shortages while creating a more inclusive workforce. WICI also supports women and students aspiring to pursue careers in construction.
- CPAC Modular, Team of the Year Winner – Based in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, Ireland. CPAC Modular delivered the country’s first permanent modular school at Lucan in Dublin. The school spans 3,600 square metres over two floors and features 24 classrooms, as well as a library, recreational space and a special education needs wing.
- Faye Kennedy, Rising Star Winner – From Butlerstown, Co. Waterford, Ireland. Faye is a project engineer at Sanofi and an active member of the CIOB community. As a Tomorrow’s Leaders Champion, she represented CIOB at the Girls in Engineering and Construction Summer Camp at Atlantic Technological University, Sligo. Faye also earned the CIOB Excellence Award for her exceptional academic performance in the BSc (Hons) in Construction Management & Engineering programme at South East Technological University.
The CIOB Ireland Awards aim to highlight the people and projects that are shaping the built environment and driving the industry forward, ensuring Ireland and Northern Ireland remain at the centre of global construction excellence.
