Students, graduates and aspiring construction professionals are being invited to explore the wide range of career opportunities available across the built environment at a free CIOB networking event in Birmingham this autumn.
Constructing Careers: Paths into the Industry, supported by Kier, will take place at STEAMhouse on 19 October, bringing together CIOB members, employers and industry professionals to share insights into careers across the sector.
The evening will begin with a panel discussion featuring professionals from a range of disciplines, who will discuss their routes into construction, the variety of roles available and their experiences working on live projects. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical career advice.
The event will then move into a networking session, giving attendees the chance to meet representatives from employers including Kier, AtkinsRéalis, Sisk, Winvic, Tilbury Douglas, Colemans, STRABAG and Cundall, as well as other organisations from across the industry.
Organisers say the event aims to highlight the many different pathways into construction and help attendees build connections that could lead to future work experience, placements and employment opportunities.
Constructing Careers: Paths into the Industry is free to attend and is open to anyone aged 18 or over who is interested in pursuing a career in construction.
