The Chartered Institute of Building has opened its annual awards to find 2023’s top construction managers and leaders.
Categories include Client of the Year, Team of the Year, Rising Star, and Construction Manager of the Year.
In 2022 new categories were introduced for teams and individuals working in sustainability and equality, diversity, and inclusion. These are back this year.
The deadline for entries is 17 March, to register click here. Finalists will be announced in July and the winners announced at a ceremony in London, this autumn.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the awards. Organisers said the awards are often a “springboard” for careers within construction, with many winners going on to work on iconic projects such as The Shard and Canary Wharf.
CIOB CEO Caroline Gumble said: “In recent years, it has become increasingly important to celebrate our industry and every year the CIOB Awards showcase some of the very best talent in construction.
“I am already looking forward to seeing who will be nominated in 2023 and hearing their stories. If you or someone you work with has demonstrated leadership, excellence and a focus on delivering a high-quality built environment, please do nominate them for a CIOB award.”
2022’s Construction Manager of the Year was Kier’s Joe O’Connell for his work on Exeter’s St Sidwell’s Point Leisure Centre. His team also won Team of the Year for the project.
