Over 170 people attended the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) annual dinner event at the Hilton Hotel in Belfast in May 2026. Representatives from a vast array of firms throughout the construction industry were present. Mark Simpson, BBC News correspondent, was the Master of Ceremonies. The keynote speaker was Yvonne Conway, chair of the CIOB Northern Ireland Hub committee.

The event included a presentation to CIOB member Desmond Scott, founder and chair of Woodvale Construction Company, on being awarded Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to construction in Northern Ireland and his contribution to the Tyrone community.

Platinum sponsors of the event were Hays and Tughans. Gold sponsors were CB Contracts and CHC Group. £2,000 was raised for CIOB Assist.
