Denise Chevin has been appointed as editor for Construction Manager. She has a wealth of experience as a writer and editor in the built environment, editing Building for six years and has served as editor for maternity cover on Construction Manager and Construction News.
Additionally, she has been a columnist on Architects’ Journal and Building Design, is a research fellow at the Smith Institute and Rapporteur for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Excellence in the Built Environment. She has written a number of reports from housing to flooding for both of these organisations in the last five years.
In 2014 she worked with the CIOB to write the Parliamentary group report No more lost generations, which looked at issues around youth unemployment and construction.
Chevin takes over from Elaine Knutt who left in April to edit Health and Safety at Work magazine.
Chevin said: “Construction Manager is a great title to be involved with and I’m delighted to be working here again – it’s an exciting time to be writing about the sector. I’m really looking forward to building on the work of my predecessor developing the content online and in print.”
