More than 1,800 Carillion construction staff have now lost their jobs in the latest round of redundancies to be announced by the Official Receiver.
Since its last update, the Official Receiver said that a total of 97 employees were given notice of redundancy.
However, a further 873 jobs were saved, with employees transferred to new suppliers who picked up contracts that Carillion had been delivering.
To date, 9,946 jobs have been saved and 1,802 made redundant through the collapsed contractor’s liquidation.
The figures do not include jobs attached to contracts where an intention to purchase has been entered into but nor formally completed.
A total of 5,400 employees have been retained to enable Carillion to deliver the remaining services it is providing for public and private sector clients.
