An AI-startup focused on automating building services is expanding into the UK and US after raising £37m ($50M) in funding.
Sweden’s Endra is building a platform to streamline tasks in the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) space.
The firm says it is already working with partners including AtkinsRéalis, Ramboll, Buro Happold, WSP and Hoare Lea.
The platform ingests standard building model files, integrates with BIM tools like Revit, and reconstructs the building in a detailed 3D environment. From there it automates the core engineering workflow, including system design, device placement, routing, model generation and compliance-ready documentation, producing both 3D and 2D deliverables.
Time reduction from months to hours
Endra claims the platform can reduce the time to create a code-compliant electrical design for a 500,000-square-foot office from around two months to “less than a day”.
The firm plans to offer one enterprise license per firm, sized to the number of addressable users in the regions they choose, with a free validation period “so firms prove the value before they commit”.
The firm says it has started to generate revenue this year with “multi-million dollar contracted ARR (annual recurring revenues) within our first quarter of commercialisation” across the Nordics, the UK, and the US.
The firm is founded by Anton Juric and Niklas Lindgren who previously created Sectragon, which provides physical access control and security systems.
The pair sold the company in 2022 but were inspired to enter construction software by working close to the construction sector and seeing opportunities to streamline the process. They have teamed up with two technologists David Rydberg and Gustav Hammarlund, who worked together on Goldman Sachs’ low-latency trading infrastructure, for their new venture.
Endra’s staff has grown from 10 to 40 since late December. The firm raised the series A funding round in June which was led by Andreessen Horowitz and has raised £56m ($75m) in total since forming.
