BuildForce is inviting construction professionals to join its annual trek through Dorset in honour of Armed Forces Day (28 June).

The event is an opportunity to show support for serving members of the military, veterans, reservists, cadets, and their families.

The 24km walk will mark the culmination of a week of celebrations, including Reserves Day (25 June).

Caroline Logan, programme director at BuildForce, said: “This event, now in its fifth year, is a tribute to the dedicated individuals in the Armed Forces community, including serving troops, veterans, families, and cadets.

“Our new off-road route is designed for all fitness levels, welcoming families and even furry-friends to join the journey.

“It’s a fantastic day of ‘walk and talk’ as we come together as strangers and leave as comrades.”

BuildForce was established in 2011 to help veterans and service leavers transition into long-term construction careers.
