Build UK, in collaboration with CITB, has launched a new initiative, Inspiring Construction.
The campaign, which launches this week, aims to inspire the next generation to choose a career in construction.
During the evening, the official proceedings of Build UK’s AGM took place, which saw Kevin Louch and James Wates step down from their roles as joint chairmen for Build UK after two years at the helm.
It was announced that Mark Castle, deputy chief operating officer, Mace Group, will take the role of Build UK chairman, with Brendan Kerr, chief executive, Keltbray Group as vice-chairman.
Build UK is also welcoming back existing directors along with four new directors to the Build UK board.
Castle said: “I am determined, that as Build UK we will be leading and driving change by working collaboratively to set our expectations, agree shared objectives and achieving better outcomes resulting in stronger, more profitable businesses for all of us.
“With the opportunities offered by the Construction Sector Deal, which Build UK is driving through the Construction Leadership Council, now is the time for all of us to commit to upping our game.”
