BIM library for timber frame launched

The UK’s first timber frame BIM library has been opened by Stewart Milne Timber Systems.

The offsite timber manufacturing specialist has created the library following 12 months of development work with the support of the CITB through its innovation pilot projects.

The library is free and features 102 of Stewart Milne Timber Systems products such as walls, floors and roof products.

The timber BIM library will enable architects and designers to download specific products or the entire library. It is hoped it will reduce the amount of time it takes to complete a timber frame project by as much as a month. Furthermore, it will also reduce the amount of errors.
