Engineering contractor adopts proximity warning system

Engineering contractor QTS Group is to implement the Pathfindr Zonr proximity warning system across its rail engineering, infrastructure and electrification operations throughout the UK.

QTS helped in the development of the system that alerts workers when a vehicle or other hazard comes close, or if they step into a high-risk area, thus helping to avoid a potential incident.

Information exchange standard published

BSI has published BS EN ISO 19650-4:2022 Organization and digitization of information about buildings and civil engineering works, including building information modelling. Information management using building information modelling - Information exchange. It complements Parts 1, 2, 3 and 5.
