BIM 4 working groups ‘legacy’ charter signed

The BIM Task Group has established a key piece of its “legacy” with the signing of a CIOB-backed charter designed to build a stronger working alliance between the various BIM 4 working groups.

There are over a dozen BIM4 interest groups working to smooth the BIM process in their specialist areas and promote the uptake of BIM, including BIM4Regs, BIM4Fit-out and newly-formed BIM4Housing. 

At a signing ceremony held at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills yesterday, the Task Group’s head of BIM David Philp said the charter helped underline that everyone involved in the BIM 4 groups was “focussed on the goal of BIM adoption – we’re at the tipping point, but we’ve got a long way to go”.
