Bill Hocking
Bill Hocking, currently in charge of Galliford Try’s construction business, is set to become the company’s new chief executive following the departure of Graham Prothero.
Prothero is leaving to become COO of the new enlarged business created by the £1.1bn sale of Linden Homes and Galliford Try’s partnerships and regeneration arms to Bovis Homes, details of which were finalised this week.
Hocking will become Galliford Try’s new chief executive subject to shareholders’ approval of the deal ahead of its expected completion on 3 January 2020.
He joined Gallford Try in September 2015, initially as managing director of construction before becoming chief executive of construction and investments in August 2016. Ge was previously executive vice president on the executive management team of Skanska UK from 2008, having joined the company in 1990.
