A new app is being rolled out in the UK which is claiming to be a game changer – by allowing site managers to easily measure material deliveries from their smartphone.
US-based developer Stockpile says that the amount of material bought, sold, produced, or delivered to sites has been a long-standing issue in the construction industry. Resolving these disputes requires bringing in measurement experts and can take days, often costing in the region of £1,000.
With the Stockpile Reports iPhone app, construction professionals can measure the material themselves, immediately, for a tenth of the cost, getting measurement results in the time it would take a measurement crew to even show up.
