Engineering consultant Hurley Palmer Flatt has acquired rival civil and structural engineer Bradbrook Consulting for an undisclosed sum.
The move is part of the group’s continued drive to grow its existing civil and structural engineering division and will see it take over the 50-strong firm with offices in London, Kingston, Watford, Manchester and Dubai.
Bradbrook has a turnover of around £4m and is currently working on a number of developments, including on a leisure and residential scheme at 6 Grosvenor Place in London’s West End. Bradbrook directors Simon Tolan and Grant Verster will remain with the company.
Tolan and Verster said: “This is an exciting step forward in the company’s growth and will expand our multi-disciplinary capabilities with the support of Hurley Palmer Flatt’s platforms. The company ethos and senior management remain unchanged.”
Paul Flatt, chairman of Hurley Palmer Flatt, said: “Our investment in Bradbrook is another step forward to growing our existing civil and structural engineering division.”
The firm has a turnover of £30m and is working on a number of high-profile schemes in the City of London, including Multiplex’s London Wall office project at Moorgate, and interiors work on the UBS building at 5 Broadgate, which was built by Mace.
