A group of historic buildings at risk have been restored to their former glory at RAF Bicester, the home of Bomber Command during World War 2. Regional contractor Beard is completing the second phase of a restoration programme with Cherwell District Council and new owner Bicester Heritage, which plans to revive the former WW1 and WW2 military base into a heritage motor and aviation business park.
The refurbishment works have included roof repairs and replacement, glazing repairs, the replacement and refurbishment of the original Crittal windows and external joinery and redecoration.
