  1. Excellent sprinklers should be in every, school. This in my opinion makes perfect sense.

  2. Schools are usually burnt down by former pupils the school has, for whatever reason, failed to teach them the necessity of not taking out their frustrations on public infrastructure.

As a risk to the health of the pupils who are not trying to burn down their school while in it, that is as near zero as it is possible to be. Schools will almost certainly suffer more loss due to flooding from sprinklers set off by accident (or more probably design) than they do from fire at present.

Investing in sprinklers is no substitute for investing in education, and the two should not be construed as being the same. Get the education right and schools will not burn down. Simple. Phrases like ‘massive cuts’ ‘complete disruption’ look as it they have been taken out of The Remoaners Guide to Brexit. Not a place to look for wisdom in spending education budgets.
