Large sections of the steel frame for Fulham FC’s new Riverside stand have now been erected by contractor Buckingham Group, new images have revealed.
Work on the Riverside Stand at Craven Cottage began in May last year and was scheduled to take two years to complete, ready for the start of the 2021/22 season.
The new two-tier structure, designed by architect Populous, will add 4,000 new seats, taking the stadium’s capacity to 29,600.
Prior to its work at Fulham, Buckingham Group won the roofing contract on Tottenham Hotspur’s £800m stadium in 2017, under construction manager Mace.
