  1. Well said Bill, forget all this modern frippery.

Bring back duodecimals and ban electronic calculators say I; the micro-chip is the work of Satan

  2. PFI was a true disgrace and those who agreed to enter into PFI contracts were grossly negligent. Those offering the schemes produced badly designed and shoddy construction that would never stand the test of time and would be inaffordable and those of us involved knew it.

BIM is another great joke. All we need is good old fashioned knowledgeable architects and surveyors who know their job, but sadly that will never happen because they all go to university and think they know it all when in fact they are totally ignorant.

  3. Really guys, a serious article about a very serious business deserves a more considered response than this. PFI is a sound financial concept but in the hands of naïve bureacrats and delivered by exploitative D&B contractors and then reported by the press and PFI bashers on an incomplete and sometimes ignorant basis, a good idea is then kicked and kicked by a mob mentality.
I applaud this article, working with and refining the devil you know is a better way forward than suggesting no alternative at all.
