Nearly 11,500 Carillion workers have held onto their jobs after transferring to new employers, the latest figures show.
The Official Receiver revealed that 11,480 jobs have been saved through the liquidation of the failed contractor, with another 39 staff transferring to new employers since its last update on 30 April.
Another 35 were made redundant, taking the number of people who have lost their jobs to 2,292.
A further 1,102 employees have left the business during the liquidation through finding new work, retirement, or for other reasons.
The Official Receiver’s figures do not include jobs attached to contracts where an intention to purchase Carillion contracts has been entered into but has not yet formally occurred.
Around 3,200 employees are currently retained to enable Carillion to deliver the remaining services it is providing for public and private sector customers until decisions are taken to transfer or cease these contracts.
