New photos and video of the delayed Tottenham Hotspur stadium shows the £800m project edging towards completion.
Construction manager Mace was originally due to have overseen the completion of the stadium in time for the club’s opening game against Liverpool on 15 September, but Mace revealed in August that it would not meet the deadline, citing issues with critical safety systems.
Photos from the club’s official webcams now show significant progress being made at the site, although two tower cranes are still erected while some sections of cladding are still to be added to the building envelope.
Meanwhile blogger and Spurs fan Chris Cowlin has filmed the interior of the stadium from the upper section of the west stand, with the stadium interior appearing to largely complete.
Spurs has since secured a deal to use Wembley Stadium for home fixtures for the rest of the season, while it awaits certainty on an opening date.
