A group of MPs will explore how built environment conservation can help deliver places that are economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable, under new plans announced last week.
The UK Conservation, People and Places all-party parliamentary group (APPG) has launched with Liberal Democrat MP Layla Moran as chair.
Vice-chairs include: the former chief executive of the Homes and Communities Agency Lord Kerslake; the Conservative MP Paul Howell, who won Tony Blair’s former constituency in Sedgefield; barrister and listed building owner, the Earl of Devon; and Helen Hayes, formerly a planner specialising in town centre regeneration before becoming MP for Dulwich.
