Mace has pushed up its global turnover to a record £1.49bn in 2014, up 26% the previous year, according to its 2014 annual Report and Accounts, while pre-tax profit went up 8% to £35m.
The company says it’s a British success story for job creation and exporting high-value skills across the world.
Mace says it created 500 jobs in 2014, recruited 58 graduates and 18 construction trainees – putting the company on its way to its 2020 business plan target of a headcount or 7,200.
Mace continued to maintain a strong focus on finding a better way to deliver for clients, demonstrated by achieving an 83% client satisfaction score and by further growing its portfolio of iconic projects and programmes.
Project wins over the year include being appointed to deliver the redevelopment of the former BBC Television Centre, Dubai Expo 2020 and the £1.7bn Silo Direct Encapsulation Plant waste processing facility at Sellafield.

Completed projects include the Mandarin Oriental Bodrum in Turkey and the new World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre extension for the British Museum in London.
The company also ended 2014 with a strong pipeline of work, with 72% of 2015 target turnover secured by year end and we’re well on our way to hitting our target for 2015.
