The CIOB will be asking its members “Who is the leading Voice of Construction?” at a workshop during this year’s Members’ Forum, which is being hosted in Cambridge by the CIOB East of England branch. During the open event on 22 July the CIOB aims investigate who is leading change within the construction industry and how the Institute fits into this.
Led by members of the CIOB Policy and External Relations Board, the workshop will also look to find practical ways for the CIOB to “become the leading voice within each local region”.
Following the event, a working group will be established to carry the project forward and feed outcomes back into the Board.
The workshop is expected to be opened by Graham Robinson, global business consultant at law firm Pinsent Masons and an author of the influential Global Construction 2020 report.
Following the workshop members are able to attend the presidential dinner at King’s College, Cambridge, where incoming president Chris Chivers FCIOB will make his inaugural speech.
The CIOB’s Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will also be held during the Members Forum on Tuesday 21 July at the Cambridge City Hotel.
