  1. This course has real symmetry with the Pearson Edexcel Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Senior Site Inspection. Those who attend the CIOB course and then go out into the workplace and practice what they have learned will have access to this competence based qualification.
On successful completion of the NVQ 6 the individual would have a qualification that is broadly comparable to a Bachelors Degree in value, access to the Black CSCS card and Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building through the professional review.

  2. “Get it right the first time” will depend on discipline. Construction Quality Management is the assurance that the quality of work will meet the construction project specifications. The construction quality control sides of it will be the execution of strong project surveillance through the three phases of controls – Preparatory phase, Initial Inspections phase and follow up phase as quality management becomes best defense against costly construction defects.
The CIOB hands on deck on quality construction training should invite all built environment stake-holders such as “Clerk of Works, Architectural Technologists, and host of others” that require project responsibilities to uphold Total Quality Management Policy
I am sure the two days training will actively administer and physically verify adherence to the project requirements assisted by a project specific Quality. Just as their counterpart in the United States of America, where construction quality control management for contractor certification is required by the federal construction project. The program is administered by the United States Army Corps of Engineers and includes positive steps to promote quality in all phases of federal Construction Project. Way to go CIOB, Construction Industry integrity carry more values than poor quality of work! Quality Management in construction is not a goal but a fact!
