The Homes & Communities Agency is preparing to launch the bid race for its delivery partner panel next month.
More than 25 contractors and developers on the existing panel will be fighting for a place on the new housing delivery line-up, DPP3, that covers the country except London and operates its own preferred list.
The DPP2 framework is due to expire in March next year, giving new firms the opportunity to bid to join the board.
HCA’s delivery partner panel has been in operation for six years and has enabled procurement of 45,000 homes on 250 sites. The panel is available for use by HCA and also by a wide range of other public sector bodies.
Firms that have been involved with DPP2 include Willmott Dixon, Wates, Kier, Bouygues, Lovell, Mansell, Carillion, Miller, Higgins, Rydon and Galliford Try.
The existing DPP2 framework is split into four geographic lots across England. However, under DPP3 contractors and house builders will be asked for their views and possible changes to this regional set-up. The value of the new framework will be set at £8bn
Interested firms are invited to respond to a survey questionnaire as part of a pre-procurement market testing exercise, which can be obtained here.
