Construction Manager is once again looking for feedback on BIM uptake within the industry. Our annual BIM survey is now open online and we’d like to hear your views and experiences on how the new technology, mandated in April 2016 for all central government-procured projects, is impacting working practices.
Last year we had nearly 600 responses to our online questionnaire which revealed that there was patchy client uptake and weak understanding of BIM’s fundamental standards.
The results of the survey will help us provide in-depth commentary into the progress of BIM across the industry and specific behaviours, including the extent of its adoption by private sector clients.
CM’s annual BIM survey can be found here.

We have been using BIM extensively over the past 4 years and have developed specialised families and blocks for our needs within our sector. The software (Revit) is in our opinion in its infancy with software developers needing to take more notice of the deficiencies and requirements of practices who invest in the learning and development.
