  1. Reading the above comments makes me so sad. Without exception they seem to have no faith in the UK’s ability to prosper on its own, but to stay in a outdated institution. I think the UK is still great and we would be better fully controlling our own destiny. OK there would be a period of adjustment, but as a people we are more than capable of rising above the fear merchants and bullying. Don’t roll over the greatest opportunity we have in the referendum to actually change things

  2. I tend to agree with Keith Jenkinson. There are too many hidden agendas that will never be made transparent. How can you vote for something you know more or less nothing about

  3. I agree with the last comment. How negative, how pathetically uninspiring. None of the contributors address the prime issue. Do we want to be part of a dictatorship? Do we want to run our own affairs? We did for centuries before the EU & will do again. Stay in to welcome Croatia & Turkey into the dungeon? Keep paying for other countries development? Dear me, if these are influential people, give me labourers any day.

  4. These people who are supposed to be educated, have no idea of what they are talking about. Do they really believe that things will change, do they really believe that foreign industry, banks and suppliers will desert like rats from a sinking ship? This island ruled most of the world it traded freely with the world – get real people. I do not want, nor do the British people want, to live under the heel of the EU.

  5. What is the matter with these people. To think that europe will stop trading with us is ludicrous. Even more the “threat of war!!!”
We have been trading with the rest of the world within and without europe for centuries. That will not change. We have been exporting and importing labour and professional people also for centuries. That also will not change. What will happen is that the UK will keep billions of pounds every year which will not be paid to this corrupt, unaccountable, unelected federal club, and spend (less) on re-building the UK’s position in the world, and not as a part of the european union. The ssoner we get out the better.

  6. Further to my previous comment, could we please have a less biased (in favour of staying) viewpoint from the so-called leaders of industry. I do not see one leave commentator.
Also they seem to have an extremely low opinion of the capabilities of the BRITISH people.
