Construction manager contributor Stephen Cousins (above, centre) was last week crowned Construction/Infrastructure Journalist of the Year at the prestigious IBP awards.
His work, including articles for Construction Manager, was praised for being well written and informative. The article on the re-roofing of Sir James Stirling and James Gowan’s iconic 1960’s engineering building at the University of Leicester was, in the judges’ view, a “compelling account of this most complex operation.” The article appeared in our September issue.
The award was sponsored by Arcadis and the runner up was Robyn Wilson from Construction News.
Denise Chevin, editor of Construction Manager, said: “I am delighted that Stephen’s work has been recognised. Our readers value our technical coverage highly. Stephen manages to convey highly complex and technical information in a digestible and entertaining way.”
