CIOB Ireland is holding a CPD event on Wednesday 18 October to discuss building standards and fire safety in the wake of the Grenfell fire tragedy.
The event runs from 8:30am to 10am and will be held in the Facebook HQ in Dublin. It will be live streamed for those who want to take part from other CIOB regions.
There will be two primary speakers: Aidan O’Connor, estate manager, HSE Estates – Fire Safety; and Ben Bradford, managing director for specialist fire risk consultant BB7.
Bradford will talk about the importance of fire safety information for end users and occupiers of premises who may have the responsibility for (or some other interest in) the fire safety arrangements within a building or for anybody with responsibility at a wider organisational or strategic level.
BB7 has also produced a guide to explain the key fire safety information required to comply with legislation and to help in understanding fire-related terms and documents and what they are likely (or what you should expect them) to contain.
