The government has installed another new housing minister following Dominic Raab’s promotion to Brexit secretary after just six months in the job.
Raab was appointed to the new position by prime minister Theresa May after David Davis resigned from the government because he lo longer believes in the plan for the UK’s future relations with the EU, backed by the cabinet on Friday.
It means that an eighth housing minister in eight years has now been recruited.
Raab has been replaced by Kit Malthouse, MP for North West Hampshire, who is now the fourth MP to hold the role of housing minister in the last two years.
