A total of 356 more Carillion workers have been made redundant over the past week, it has emerged.
New figures from the Official Receive showed that the total number of redundancies at the collapsed contractor now stands at 2,778 – the equivalent of 15% of the workforce.
A further 21 jobs were saved over the past week, meaning that 13,516 individuals have found new posts (74% of the pre-liquidation workforce).
Another 1,277 employees have left the business during liquidation through finding new work, retirement, or for other reasons.
More than 650 employees are currently retained to enable Carillion to deliver the remaining services it is providing until decisions are taken to transfer or cease its remaining contracts.
